i was given this and thought i would share it with every 1 as ive no need 4 it as ive got something else to use maybe some 1 with a bit more knoladge can post some more info about this it looks quite simple to do but im not sure about the detction situation when doing it
works with BF2142 and BF2
apparently the sticky nametags don't work as well.
How to do it:
1. Look in C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001 for your Profile.con and open it up in Notepad (or some other text editor).
2. Add the following lines to your config:
Renderer.DrawSkyDome 0
Renderer.DrawPostProduction 0
Renderer.Drawundergrowth 0
NameTags.MaxEnemyDistance 9999
NameTags.EnemyTagFadeInTime 0.00000001
NameTags.EnemyTagFadeOutTime 9999
NameTags.EnemyTagDelayTime 0.0000001
NameTags.EnemyDotLimit 0.0000001
3. Make Profile.con read-only (else bf2 will change it back to normal after you close bf2)
What it does:
1. Takes away your sky (i.e. makes it black). This is good for maps like Dragon Valley where it's hard to see your TV crosshair.
2. Takes away the static in your TV view screen. Again, very useful for choppers.
3. After you spot an enemy (i.e. look at an enemy and his red tag shows up), the red tag stays there until you move out of the maximum view distance, meaning if you see someone and they move back behind a wall, you'll be able to see his tag until he dies or you move far enough away from him. A situational ESP basically.
